Current News UP DATE FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5 Tonight's District Tournament Wrestling Meet at Tabb and the York at Lafayette Boys Basketball game have been cancelled.. Tonight's Swim Meet against Jamestown is on for 6:30 PM at the Fort Eustis Pool - not at Hampton University as originally scheduled. FRIDAY ON - SATURDAY OFF All Lafayette Athletic events scheduled for Friday, February 5 will be played . They are: Swimming vs. Jamestown at Hampton University at 7:00 PM Boys Basketball vs York at home at 7:00 PM Wrestling Districts at Tabb at 5:30 PM All Saturday, February 6 events have been cancelled. Make -up dates for these games will be announced next week.
ALL GAMES FOR FRIDAY ARE - OFF All WJCC school athletic events for Friday and Saturday (1-29, 1-30) have been canceled. Please check the website for rescheduling on Monday. Have a safe weekend. JAMESTOWN SWIM MEET - FRIDAY The annual big swim meet between Lafayette and Jamestown will be held this Friday night at Hampton University. The meet will start at 7:30 and admission is free. Go Rams SWIM TEAMS STAY IN FIRST With victories over Poquoson and Smithfield on Thursday night our Girls and Boys Swimming teams stayed in first place in the Bay Rivers District. Our Girls defeated Poquoson by a 63 to 31 score and Smithfield by a 81 to 13 score. Our Boys defeated Poquoson 79 to 14 and Smithfield by a 81 to 11 score. HURTING GIRLS B-BALL LOSE Injuries have really hurt our Girls Basketball team this year and the trend continued on Thursday at Poquoson as the Islanders defeated our Rams by a 45 to 28 score. Our Rams will travel to Warhill on Friday in a varsity game only. POQUOSON DOWNS RAMS IN BOYS B-BALL A poor shooting first half costs our Boys Basketball team on Wednesday night as they fell to the Islanders by a 47 to 34. Our Rams will travel to Warhill on Friday. LADY RAMS HUSTLE WIN OVER JAMESTOWN Despite numerous turnovers our Lady Rams Basketball team hustled and defensed their way to a 55 to 49 victory over Jamestown on Tuesday. Playing good defense, blocking shots and scoring in key situations was the key to our victory. Our Rams will travel to Poquoson on Thursday night and then to Warhill on Friday. SWIMMERS HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND On Friday night our Boys and Girls Swim teams defeated Tabb. Our Boys won by a 57 to 37 score while our Girls won their 55th straight meet with a 56 - 38 win over the Tigers. On Saturday our Girls team won the championship at the very tough Kecoughtan Invitational while our Boys finished the day in fourth place. WRESTLING TEAM GOES 3 AND 2 On Saturday at the Booker T. Washington Invitational our Ream Wrestling team finished the day with a 3 and 2 record. Our Rams defeated Denbigh, Norcom and Booker T. Washington while Jamestown and Wilson scored victories over our Rams. TWO TOUGH LOSSES FOR BOYS B-BALL Our boys basketball team suffered two tough defeats last Wednesday and Friday. In both games our Rams held the lead with under 10 seconds remaining but could not hold on for the victory. Wednesday our Rams loss to Grafton in triple overtime by a 61 to 58 score. On Friday Jamestown scored in the final seconds to defeated our Rams by a 41 to 40 score. CHANGE IN JAMESTOWN B-BALL GAME TONIGHT Due to a conflict tonight's varsity girls basketball game at Jamestown has been moved to next Tuesday night at Jamestown. Replacing tonight's girls varsity game will be a boy's jv basketball game starting at 5:30 PM. Our boys varsity basketball team will play Jamestown tonight at 7:00 PM as originally scheduled. FALL SPORTS AWARDS CEREMONY The Fall Sports Awards Ceremony will be held on Monday, January 11 starting at 6:30 PM in the Lafayette Commons. All varsity and jv etiolates who participated on a fall sports team and their parents are encouraged to attend this celebrating of success. All athletes who attend this ceremony will receive a Ram Athletic Tee-Shirt. Athletes who do not attend this ceremony can only receive a Tee-Shirt if they contact Mr. Barner's office and give their reason for not attending by Monday at 3:00 PM. GO RAMS!!!!!! BOYS B-BALL LOSE AT POQUOSON Our boys basketball team was defeated by a 67 to 34 score at Poquoson on Monday. Our Rams will host Grafton this Wednesday and will travel to Jamestown on Friday night. RAMS UPSET PACKERS Our boys basketball team pull off a big upset on Wednesday night by defeating the Packers of Smithfield by a 48 to 45 score. Our Rams will travel to York on Friday night. GIRLS B-BALL OVER NEW KENT After losing two returning starters and three straight games, our Lady Rams rebounded to defeat New Kent by a 57 to 29 score on Tuesday night. Our Rams will host Smithfield on Thursday. SWIM TEAMS START WITH A SPLASH Our Girls and Boys Swim Teams open their season on Saturday with easy wins over York. Our Girls won by a 65 to 29 win while our Boys won be a 64 to 30 score. GIRLS B-BALL OVER DEFENDING DISTRICT CHAMPS With a big 42 to 26 win over Poquoson, the Bay Rivers District defending champions, our Lady Rams now stand 1and 1 on the season. Our next game will be Monday night against Gloucester. THRILLING B-BALL OPENER Our boys and girls basketball teams split with the Lion of Warhill in Friday night's season opener.. Our girls lost to the Lions by a 47 to 39 score. In the boys game our Rams came from behind in a most exciting fashion to defeat the Lions 49 to 45. Once again our team was cheered on by our outstanding Ram Pep Club. The Winter Parent Sports Information Meeting is Scheduled for both Sunday, November 22nd, and Monday, November 23rd. Also Meet the Coaches Night will be held after the Parent Seminar on Monday November 23rd. Please see the attachment below: VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN STATE QUARTER-FINALS Our Ram Volleyball completed an outstanding season on Tuesday night with a VHSL State quarter-final loss to state power Loudoun County. Our Rams finished the year with a 18 and 6 record and was the second place team in the Bay Rivers District and Region 1. This marked the first time in six years that our volleyball team made the state playoffs. GREAT JOB LADY RAMS BOYS CROSS COUNTRY - 8TH BEST IN STATE Our boys Cross Country team finished their season by placing 8th at the VHSL State Meet on Saturday. This years addition of Ram Runners finished with a 8 and 1 record and earned a Bay Rivers District Co-Championship and place third at the Region 1 meet. It was another outstanding year for our boy runners. FOOTBALL DOWNED BY JAMESTOWN After defeating Jamestown for the first 11 times in the cross town matchup our Rams have now lost to the Eagles the last two years including a 31 to 7 defeat on Saturday. Our Rams finished the year at 5 and 5 and missed the Region 1 playoffs for only the third time during our 13 years in the VHSL "AA" classification. FOOTBALL VS JAMESTOWN MOVED Friday night's big-big football game against Jamestown has been moved to Saturday night. Kickoff time will be 7:30 PM at JCC Stadium. REGION 1 VOLLEYBALL MOVED Thursday night's Region 1 semi-final Volleyball game at Chancellor High School has been moved to Saturday and will be played at Grafton High School. Our Rams will play the Chargers at 2:00 PM. The winner will play for the championship at 6:00 PM JV FOOTBALL GAME CANCELLED Because the VHSL would not let us extend the regular season past Saturday and scheduling complication due to the weather has caused our JV football game against Jamestown to be cancelled. Therefore this concludes the JV Football season. V-BALL IN REGION 1 WIN For the first time in six years our Ram Volleyball team won a Region 1 Tournament game. Our Rams defeated the Southside District's number two team, the Indians of Southampton, by a 3 to 1 score. Our Rams will travel Thursday to Fredericksburg to take on Chancellor High School in a Region 1 semi-final game. Side Note - Bailey Lowenhaupt was named the 2009 Bay Rivers District Player of the Year. Congratulations Bailey and GO RAMS!!!!! THRILLING FOOTBALL WIN Tied at 7 to 7 against Grafton our Ram football team put together a picture perfect 79 yard five minute drive that put our Rams in a position to win the game. With four seconds left on the clock Jacob Vaught calmly kick a 37 yard field gold to seal the victory. Our Rams will finish their season this Friday night when we play our cross town rival - the Eagles of Jamestown. BOYS X-COUNTRY TO STATES After earning a co-championship in the Bay Rivers District our boys runners placed third at the Region 1 meeting last Thursday. The third place finish advances our boys to the VHSL State Championship on Saturday. Even though Becky Dobosy was the individual regional champion a bout of sickness to a number of her teammates slowed our undefeated and district champion girls team to a 5th place finish at the Region 1 Championship meet. V-BALL SECURES REGION 1 HOME GAME With our 3 to 1 victory Tuesday night over Jamestown in a Bay Rivers District Tournament semi-final game our Rams have secured a home game in the first round of the Region 1 Tournament. Our Rams will host the Southside number 2 team next Tuesday night starting at 7:00 PM. This Thursday night our Rams will travel to Grafton to play the Clippers in the Bay Rivers District Tournament Championship game. Starting time is 7:00 PM. VOLLEYBALL I N FIRST ROUND WIN Our Girls Volleyball team defeated Warhill 3 to 0 Monday night in the first round of the Bay Rivers District Tournament. Our Rams will host Jamestown tonight starting at 7:00 PM. WOW - FOOTBALL BLAST NO. 1 YORK The York Falcons entered Friday night's game in first place in the Bay Rivers District and were looking to secure a Region 1 playoff sport for the first time in Division 4. Two hours after the kickoff the Falcons were wondering what happen as our Rams stomped up and down the field with ease on the way to a 62 to 27 victory. Our Rams will host Grafton this Friday in our 2009 Homecoming game. Great Job Rams!!! GIRLS X-COUNTRY- CHAMPIONS After going undefeated during the regular season our Lady Ram Runners added to their regular season Bay Rivers District Championship by winning the District Tournament Championship on Thursday. Our girls will run for the Region 1 crown next Thursday at Fredericksburg. Our regular season Co-District Champion Boys team placed third in the tournament and will also run at the Region 1 Championship next Thursday. Good luck to both teams. VOLLEYBALL - SO EXCITING & A RAM WIN Thursday night at Lafayette it was Jamestown and our Rams teaming up to produce one of the most exciting athletic events held at Lafayette in a long time. The importance of the game, the outstanding play by both teams and the most exciting, enthusiastic, spirited and good sportsmanship like students fans from both schools made this event something special. After trailing by a 2 to 1 score following a very heart stopping third game our girls showed their Ram Toughness and battled back to take games four and five to defeat the Eagles 3 to 2. The win secured second place in the district for our Rams who will now host Warhill in the first round of the Bay Rivers District Tournament on Monday. Our v-ballers finished their regular season with an outstanding 15 and 3 record. Great Job Rams!!! JV FOOTBALL SITE MOVED Thursday nights JV football game against York has been moved from Cooley Field to the new JCC Stadium. Kickoff is still at 6:30 PM X-COUNTRY DISTRICT MEET ON THURSDAY Our Boys and Girls X-Country Teams will via for the District Tournament Championship and a spot in the Region 1 tournament on Thursday at Eastern State. The meet will start with the Girls race at 1:30 PM followed by the Boys race at 2:15 PM. Go Ram Runners.. BIG - BIG VOLLEYBALL GAME Thursday night our volleyball team will play one of it's biggest games in a number of years. That night our Lady Rams V-ballers will host cross town rivals the Eagles of Jamestown and a win by our Rams will secure a spot in the Region 1 tournament. Our Rams defeated the Eagle by a 3 to 2 score earlier in the years and this game promises to be filled with lots of excitement. Game time is 5:30 PM for the JV game followed by the varsity game at 7:00 PM. Our team is hoping for a big turn out of Rams fans that will cheer them on to victory. Go Rams . DISTRICT CHEER AT LHS The Bay Rivers District Tournament Cheerleading Competition will be held on Wednesday night starting at 6:00 PM here at Lafayette. Please come out and support of Cheer Team as they try to win a spot in the Region 1 Competition. Admission is $5.00. Go Cheer Team!!!!!! FIELD HOCKEY ENDS SEASON Our Lady Rams lost to Grafton on Monday in the first round of the Bay Rivers District Tournament by a 4 to 1 score. Our Rams defeated the Clippers during the regular season and finished in fourth place in the final Bay Rivers District standings. BIG PLAYS DOES IN FOOTBALL After leading Smithfield at halftime by a 3 to 0 score the Packers used four big plays in the second half to down our Rams by a 28 to 3 score. Our Rams travel to York this Friday. VOLLEYBALL STAYS HOT Our Rams defeated York by a 3 to 0 score on Thursday night. This was our Rams 6th straight 3 to 0 victory. Our V-ballers are now 14 and 2 on the season. Next week our Rams travel to undefeated Grafton on Tuesday and then host Jamestown in a battle for second place in the Bay Rivers District on Thursday. GO Rams!!!!!! GIRLS X-COUNTRY WINS ANOTHER DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP By defeating Smithfield,York and Warhill on Wednesday our girls Cross Country team ended their regular season with a perfect 9 and 0 record and won their fifth Bay Rivers District championship in the last six years. During this six year period our girls had accumulated a outstanding record of 55 wins and only 2 losses. Great job Lady Ram Runners !!!!!! BOYS X - COUNTRY WIN = CO-DISTRICT CHAMPS With previously undefeated Grafton losing to New Kent and our Rams defeating Smithfield, York and Warhill on Wednesday our boys Cross Country team finished in a tie with Grafton for first place in the Bay Rivers District with identical 8 and 1. This marks the third time in the last five years that our boys runners either won or tied for the district championship. During this five year period our boys have a record of 42 and 6. FIELD HOCKEY FALLS Our Field Hockey team was defeated by Jamestown on Wednesday night by a 3 to 0 score. The loss places our Rams in a tie for fourth place in the Bay Rivers District with Grafton. Our stick ladies will host Grafton in the first round of the district tournament on Monday here at Lafayette starting at 4:00 PM. The winner of this game will advance in the tournament while the loser of this game will see it's season come to an end. BIG FIELD HOCKEY GAME TONIGHT Tonight at 7:00 PM our Rams Field Hockey team will host our cross town rival, the Eagles of Jamestown, at JCC Stadium. Both our Rams and the Eagles are tied for second placed in the district and the winner of this game will automatically advance to the Region 1 Tournament. Such a big game with lots of excitement makes JCC Stadium the place to be tonight. VOLLEYBALL OVER SMITHFIELD A 3 to 0 victory over Smithfield on Tuesday night keeps our Volleyball team in second place in the Bay Rivers District. The win was our teams fifth straight 3 to 0 victory. Our Rams are now 13 and 2 on the season and our girls will host York on Thursday night. FOOTBALL WEATHERS NEW KENT Our Rams played sticky defense and used a power ground game to defeat New Kent in the wind and rain Friday night by a 21 to 7 score. Our Rams will travel to Smithfield this Friday.. FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT --- IS ON!!! Tonight's football game against New Kent will be played as scheduled. Game time is 7:30 PM at Cooley Field. GO RAMS V-BALL OVER NEW KENT Our girls volleyball team defeated New Kent on Thursday by a 3 to 0 score. This is the fourth straight game that our V-ballers have won by a 3 to 0 score. Our Rams are 12 and 2 on the season and in second place in the district. FIELD HOCKEY GAME POSTPONED Tonight's very big Field Hockey game against Jamestown has been postponed. The game will be played next Wednesday at JCC Stadium. JV game at 5:30 PM - Varsity at 7:00 PM. GOLF IS 7TH BEST IN STATE Our golf team finished their season by placing 7th at the VHSL State Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. Our Rams also finished the season as the number two team in the Bay Rivers District and Region 1. This year was one of the best seasons that our Ram Golf team has had in a number of years. Great year to all our Ram Golf team members. X-COUNTRY WINS TWO Our girls cross team remained undefeated in the Bay Rivers District with victories over Tabb and Jamestown on Wednesday. Our Lady Ram runners are now 6 and 0 on the season. Our boys also had a big day as they too defeated Tabb and Jamestown. Our boy runner are now in second place in the district with a 5 and 1 record. FIELD HOCKEY BIG, BIG WIN OVER GRAFTON With no time remaining on the game clock our Rams scored on a short corner shot to defeat Grafton by a 2 to 1 score. Our Rams are now tied with Jamestown for third place in the district and will host the Eagles on Thursday night at JCC stadium in what now has become the biggest game of the year. The winner of this game will secure a Region 1 playoff spot. The varsity game will start at 7:00 PM and we hope that all Ram fans will come out to cheer our Rams on to victory. V-BALL STAYS IN SECOND Out Volleyball team looked very sharp on Tuesday night as they defeated Tabb by a 3 to 0 to score to remain in second place in the Bay Rivers District. Our Rams are now 11 and 2 on the season and they will play at New Kent on Thursday night. Great job Lady Rams !!!!!! TABB DOWNS RAMS IN FOOTBALL The Tabb Tigers defeated our Rams 38 to 17 in football last Friday night. The Tabb victory was only the second over our Rams since Lafayette join the VHSL "AA" classification and the Bay Rivers District 13 years ago. Our Rams hope to get back on track this Friday when we host New Kent. The game will be played at Cooley Field starting at 7:30. Go Rams!!!! V-BALL & FIELD HOCKEY WIN Our Volleyball and Field Hockey teams both won their games on Thursday. Our Ram Volleyball team defeated Bruton by a 3 to 0 score to remain in second place in the district and our Field Hockey team defeated Warhill 1 to 0 GOLF - 2ND IN REGION 1 Our Ram Golf team had back to back good days and placed second in the Region 1 Golf Tournament. Our Rams will now be one of eight teams in the state that will via for the VHSL State Championship which will be held next week. GREAT JOB RAMS!!!!!!! RAM STICK LADIES OUSTED BY YORK In a battle for the 4th place position in the Bay Rivers District the York Falcons defeated our Rams Field Hockey team by a 3 to 1 score on Tuesday. BIG PLAYS & TURNOVERS COST FOOTBALL A VICTORY Two big plays for touchdowns by Bruton and two turnovers in the red zone by our Rams proved to be the difference as the Panthers won by a 13 to 7 score. VOLLEYBALL POWERS INTO SECOND After another 3 to 2 heart stopping victory on Thursday night our Ram volleyball team is now in second place in the Bay Rivers District. An exciting come from behind victory in game five propelled our V-ballers over Poquoson who entered the game tied with our Rams for second place in the district. Our Rams will travel to Warhill next Tuesday to take on the Lions. V-BALL- BIG, BIG, BIG - OVER J-TOWN After pushing undefeated and state power Grafton to 5 games last Thursday night our Rams continued their outstanding play on Tuesday by defeated Jamestown 3 to 2. Our Rams are now tied for second place in the Bay Rivers District with Poquoson and Jamestown. Our Rams will host Poquoson on Thursday night in another important district contest. We hope to see a lot of our Rams fans at the game to cheer on our team.to victory in this big game. GO RAMS!!!!! FIELD HOCKEY OVER NEW KENT Our stick girls pushed their record to 7 and 3 with their 6 to 1 Bay Rivers District victory over New Kent on Tuesday. On Monday our Rams also defeated Walsingham 3 to 0. FOOTBALL HOLDS OFF WARHILL On Friday night our football Rams defeated Warhill by a 10 to 0 score. This was the second straight week our Rams rolled up the yardage but only scored a few points. This Friday night our Rams will host undefeated Bruton at the JCC Stadium. Kickoff is 7:30 PM FOOTBALL GAME ON FOR TONIGHT FRIDAY IS BLUE AND GOLD DAY Friday is Blue and Gold day at Lafayette. Friday night Our Football team will host the Lions of Warhill in a big back yard contest starting at 7:30 PM. All Lafayette students wearing a BLUE or GOLD top to the game can get in for only $3.00 by going to the special student gate between 6:45 PM and 7:30 PM. We hope that all Ram fans, young and old, come out to cheer our team on to a big victory over the Lions. V-BALL OUTLASTED BY GRAFTON Our Volleyball team showed undefeated and highly ranked Grafton that Ram spirit and toughness Thursday night before losing in the 5th and final game by a 2 to 3 score. It was the first time all year that the Clipper were extended to the full 5 games. Our Rams next game will be at Jamestown on Tuesday night. FIELD HOCKEY DOWN BY STATE CHAMPS Our field hockey team was defeated by undefeated and defending state champions Tabb on Wednesday night by 10 to 0 score. Our Rams will play at Walsingham next Monday CROSS COUNTRY RUNS FAST Our boys and girls Cross Country teams had a very good day on Wednesday when they both defeated New Kent and Bruton. Our undefeated Girls team won by 17 to 41 over New Kent and 17 to 43 over Bruton. Our boys defeated New Kent 23 to 36 and Bruton 18 to 43. FIELD HOCKEY SCORES BIG The sticks were in high gear on Monday as our Rams Field Hockey team scored a season high 7 goals to defeat Bruton by a 7 to 1 score. Our 5 and 2 Rams travel to Tabb on Wednesday. V-BALL WINS 5TH STRAIGHT Facing a much improved York team on the Falcons home court our Rams Volleyball team stayed focus and won the game by a 3 to 2 score. Our Rams will host undefeated Grafton on Thursday night. Go Rams !!!!! CROSS COUNTRY HAS A SUNNY DAY Our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams had a very good outing at the William and Mary Invitational on Saturday. Our boys won the B-Race championship while our girls place 2nd in the A-Race. Both team will face New Kent and Bruton this Wednesday at Eastern State. FIELD HOCKEY OUT LAST TRINITY Our Field Hockey defeated Trinity Episcopal from Richmond on Saturday by a 1 to 0 score. Our Rams will host Bruton on Monday FOOTBALL LOSES KEY PLAYS AND GAME Even though our Rams had a quarter more yardage than Poquoson on Friday night the Islanders made the most of their key plays to out score our Rams 31 to 14. V-BALL SPIKES SMITHFIELD Our volleyball team shutout Smithfield on Thursday night by a 3 to 0 score. This was our Ram's 5th straight win. Next game is on Monday at York. GOLF FINISHES SECOND Our Golf team placed third at the final regular season district meet on Wednesday. Our Rams finished the year as the overall number two team in the district and will advance to the Region 1 Tournament which will be held at Kingsmill in two weeks. GOOD START FOR CROSS COUNTRY Our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams got off to a good start in district competition on Wednesday. Our boys had a split on the day while our girls won both meets.. The boys defeated Poquoson but lost to Grafton. Our girls team defeated both Grafton and Poquoson. FIELD HOCKEY BIG IN OT After playing to a 1 to 1 tie in regulation time our Lady Rams came on strong in overtime to defeat Bay Rivers District foe Poquoson by a 2 to 1 score. Our Rams will play at Walsingham Academy on Friday.at 3:30 PM and will host Trinity from Richmond on Saturday at the JCC Stadium starting at 10:00 AM.. VOLLEYBALL WINS 4TH STRAIGHT Our volleyball team won their fourth straight game on Tuesday night by defeating district power New Kent by a 3 to 0 score. FOOTBALL OVERCOMES BRUNSWICK A big and vocal crowd, especially the student "White Out" section, cheered our Rams to their opening game victory over a very big and talented Brunswick team on Friday night. Our Rams came from behind twice to defeat the Bulldogs by a 20 to 14 score. CLARIFICATION ON TONIGHT'S WHITE OUT The $2.00 special admission for wearing a white top to tonight's football game against Brunswick is for K- 12 students, not adults. All adults must pay the regular admission price of $5.00. We are sorry for any confusion due to the earlier emails. Hope to see you at the game tonight. GO RAMS !!!!!!!! VOLLEYBALL DOWNS TABB Our Girls volleyball team defeated Tabb on Thursday night by a 3 to 0 score. Our Rams have now won three straight games. Next up is a big home game against New Kent next Tuesday. Our parents look great in their Ram volleyball team shirts. RAMS WHITE OUT Friday night our Rams open their football season by hosting 2008 Region 1 playoff participant Brunswick High School. This game will be a "WHITE OUT" game for our Rams. All Lafayette students who wear a white top will only have to pay $2.00 for admission to the game. The special $2.00 admission gate will be open from 6:45 PM to 7:10 PM. Hope to see all Rams fans at the game on Friday night. Kickoff is 7:30 PM. GO RAMS !!!!!!! VOLLEYBALL LOOKS GOOD Our volleyball team started strong and looked sharp on Tuesday night as they downed the Bruton Panthers by a 3 to 0 score. Our Rams will travel to Tabb on Thursday. FIELD HOCKEY GAME MOVED Because of the weather conditions Tuesday's Field Hockey game at Walsingham Academy has been move to Friday, September 18..Varsity at 3:30 PM - JV at 5:00 PM VOLLEYBALL OVER WARHILL Our volleyball team even their record at 1 and 1 with a 3 to 2 game win over Warhill on Thursday night. Our Rams will host Bruton on Tuesday night. FIELD HOCKEY WINS NUMBER 2 A 1 to 0 double overtime victory over Menchville gave our Rams their second win in as many days. Our Rams are now 2 and 1 on the season. FIELD HOCKEY DOWNS HRA A strong offensive effort led to 4 to 0 field hockey victory over Hampton Roads Academy on Wednesday. Our Rams will travel to Menchville today. RAMS VOLLEYBALL LOSES OPENER Our volleyball team lost it's Bay Rivers District opening game on Tuesday night at Poquoson by a score of 0 to 3. Our Rams will host Warhill on Thursday . FOOTBALL GAME MOVED Thursday night's Benefit Football Game against Thomas Dale has been moved to Thursday September 3. Kickoff on the 3rd will be at 7:30 PM FIELD HOCKEY OPENS SEASON AT HOME Our Varsity and JV Field Hockey teams will play their first game of the season on Tuesday, August 25.. Our Rams will play Gloucester High school. Game time is 4:00 PM for the varsity and 5:30 PM for the jv game GOLF TEAM OPENS SEASON Our golf team opened their season on Friday at the Williamsburg National Golf Course with some very good results. Our Rams tied New Kent for second place. Our Rams will host all ten Bay Rivers District schools today at Ford's Colony.
